Peptide Synthesis

	The CRIBI Peptide synthesis group is directed and coordinating by Prof. Oriano Marin and the laboratory is part of the Interdepartmental Biotechnology Centre of the University of Padua (CRIBI) and is equipped with the most advanced technology for chemical synthesis of proteins.

Research Activity

Our group is involved in different research activity from Protein phosphorylation to the synthesis of peptides with immunological application, as the opportunity to immunize animals with synthetic peptides that reproduce fragments of an interest protein sequence to obtain antibodies.
Moreover the synthesis of peptide libraries is currently an area of applied research of considerable interest for us. The potential of this approach are considerable because is applicable in many fields of biomedical research. We deal with chemical synthesis of proteins with sophisticated automated instrumentation adopting a technique of synthesis based on a solid support that allows synthesis of small proteins intact.
